Robert C. Lyons, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Lyons was elected President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2022 after being elected Executive Vice President and President, Rail North America in August 2018. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2012 to August 2018, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2007 to 2012, and Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2004 to 2007. Mr. Lyons joined GATX in 1997 and was promoted through the treasury and investor relations departments before being elected Vice President, Investor Relations in 2002. Prior to joining GATX, Mr. Lyons worked for the Financial Relations Board and in the corporate banking division of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi. Mr. Lyons received his BA from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 1986 and his MBA in finance from the University of Notre Dame in 1988. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Packaging Corporation of America (NYSE:PKG).

Thomas A. Ellman, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Ellman was elected Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in August 2018, Executive Vice President and President, Rail North America in 2013, and Senior Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer in 2011 after holding the position of Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer since 2006. He originally joined the GATX Rail finance group in 1993 and has held increasingly responsible positions in the finance and fleet management areas of the company. Mr. Ellman’s work experience includes time with GE Equipment Services, Railcar Services, in the positions of Senior Vice President & Chief Risk Officer and as Senior Vice President, Asset Management. He began his career in public accounting at KPMG. Mr. Ellman earned a BS in Accounting from Bradley University in 1990 and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Northwestern University in 1997.

Brian L. Glassberg, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Mr. Glassberg was elected Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in September 2022.  Mr. Glassberg joined GATX in 2011, initially, as Assistant General Counsel and has since served in various leadership roles in the GATX Law department.  Prior to joining GATX, Mr. Glassberg was a corporate associate at Latham & Watkins, LLP.  Mr. Glassberg earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Maryland.

Paul F. Titterton, Executive Vice President and President, Rail North America

Mr. Titterton was elected Executive Vice President and President, Rail North America in April 2022 after being elected Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Rail North America in August 2018 and Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer in June 2013. Since joining GATX in 1997, Mr. Titterton has served in a variety of roles within GATX in the areas of sales, customer experience, marketing, business development, government affairs, strategy, structured finance, investment analysis, and fleet management. Mr. Titterton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Harvard College and is a CFA charterholder.

Kim Nero, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Ms. Nero joined GATX as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer in 2021. Prior to joining GATX, Ms. Nero was at Ferrara Candy Company where she served as Vice President, Human Resources. Prior to that, she held positions in Sales and then went on to lead global HR functions in the financial, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods and manufacturing industries at Discover, EVRAZ, Eli Lilly and SC Johnson Wax. She has a passion for helping the organization be the best place to work for talented people who have the desire to grow their careers, while driving the best partnerships, value and results for the business, employees and investors alike. Ms. Nero earned her MBA from George Washington University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication and Business Management from Cornell University. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Niyi A. Adedoyin, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Mr. Adedoyin was elected Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer in January 2016. Previously, Mr. Adedoyin served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer from 2013 to 2016 and Senior Director, IT Strategy and Project Management Office from 2008 to 2013.

Jennifer M. McManus, Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer

Ms. McManus was elected Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer in January 2020. Previously, Ms. McManus was Senior Director, Investor Relations and Accounting Research, Policy & Planning from 2017 to 2019. She joined GATX in 2015 as Director of Accounting Research, Planning & Policy. Prior to joining GATX, she held various positions of increasing responsibility with Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Tribune Company. Ms. McManus began her career in audit at Deloitte & Touche in 2002. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Masters of Accounting from the University of Michigan and her MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

Jennifer L. Van Aken, Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Risk Officer

Ms. Van Aken was elected Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Risk Officer in October 2020. Ms. Van Aken joined GATX in 2006 as Manager, Corporate Finance, and has held roles in treasury, investor relations, investment risk management and financial planning & analysis. Prior to joining GATX, Ms. Van Aken held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the financial services industry. She earned her BS in Mathematics from Allegheny College and her MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business.

Jeffery R. Young, Senior Vice President and Chief Tax Officer

Mr. Young was elected Senior Vice President and Chief Tax Officer in August 2018. Previously, Mr. Young served as Vice President and Chief Tax Officer from January 2015 to August 2018 and Vice President of Tax from 2007 to 2014. He joined GATX Corporation in 2003 as Director of Tax. Prior to joining GATX, Mr. Young spent twenty years in a variety of tax-related positions in public accounting and the financial services industry. Mr. Young received his BBA in Finance from the University of Houston in 1984, his Chartered Financial Consultant designation in 1989 and a MS in Taxation from DePaul University in 1991.

Robert A. Zmudka, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Rail North America

Mr. Zmudka was elected Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Rail North America in August 2018. He previously served as Vice President and Group Executive, North American Sales & Marketing from 2010 to August 2018, Vice President and Executive Director, Strategic Sales from 2007 to 2010, and Vice President, National Accounts from 2006 to 2007. Mr. Zmudka joined GATX in 1989 and worked in various sales and fleet roles before being promoted to Vice President, Regional Sales in 2001. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of ITS Conglobal.
