She previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Nationwide Bank, a unit of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, from September 2006 to October 2009. Prior to joining Nationwide, Ms. Arvia served as President and Chief Executive Officer of ShoreBank, a community development and environmental bank, from February 2001 to August 2006. She joined ShoreBank in 1991 as Assistant Controller and was named Chief Financial Officer in 1998. The Board of Directors has determined that Ms. Arvia qualifies as an Audit Committee Financial Expert.
